The Republic of Cyprus hosted the UEFA cup quarter-final between HAPOEL (TEL AVIV) and AC MILAN which took place in Nicosia on Thursday night (14/3). Workers Democracy together with other activists staged a protest against the unleashed slaughter on the Palestinian people by the Israeli state. Under draconian security measures the protesters gathered somewhere on the road just before the GSP stadium shouting "Solidarity with Intifada" and "Stop the butcher Sharon". The anti-war and anti-imperialist movement has to revive its tradition.
